MUST SHOW YOU THIS ..

Such a lovely slide mailer sent over to us by Lynne, who has used some of our new stamps CI-352, CI- 354, CI-350, plus our teatime stamp CI-340 to make a totally adorable slide mailer.  Hope you all love it as much as we do!!

Loving the delightful way in which Lynne has used our stamps - the lace, the clock and the teacups, and in such pretty colours too.  And the image from one of our little books just finishes it off perfectly.  Have a look at Lynne's Blog HERE for more information, and I'm sure she would appreciate a little (well deserved) kind comment too.

I wasn't intending to blog for a couple of days but I had to show you that!  However whilst I am writing this post I want to also let you know that due to it being holiday time, and also the fact that we are manically busy here at Crafty Individuals designing extremely exciting new products for you right now, plus doing some major new website work, we have decided to postpone the next Challenge - which should have started early August - until September.  Hopefully we should all be raring to go with a great new topic and some samples for you by then, and will look forward to seeing you joining in with your lovely links.

Still working on that tutorial, back soon,

Jean x

CANDY WINNER CHOSEN..

Many thanks to all who left a comment on my last post - it was great to read the lovely, lovely comments and to see how many of you would like to receive one of our candy goodie packages.  We chose a number between 1 - 97, and that number was lucky 24.  On counting down the comment list we found that number 24 is MARLIES - and if you could please email us at: info@craftyindividuals.co.uk, with your address, we would be delighted to post your delicious package to you.  Sadly there can be only one winner this time, but keep checking back for future blog candy posts!

As it is once more late at night for me this is just a short post.  However I have a few things to tell and show you.  We now have the lovely Tando clock blanks in stock which you will find if you scroll down the 'Must Have' page HERE.  There are three different shapes - the cuckoo clock, the round clock, and the carriage clock.  With prices ranging from £7.95 - £9.95 for a fully working clock these are a snip!  Team them up with one of our Clock Face Stamps to create a really gorgeous craft project - why not start making those Christmas presents now and amaze your friends this year?!  I haven't forgotten about the blog tutorial I said I would do on the cuckoo clock and Malcolm will be taking a few photos next week for me, so that I can put something together for you.

On another note if you have a copy of the current issue of Craft Stamper which you can purchase HERE, and you are an avid rubber stamper, you could be in with a chance of winning a huge selection of Crafty Individuals goodies (worth over £200) in the 'Stamper of the Year Competition'.  To enter you need to make one project using our products, then photograph it and email with some details to the Craft Stamper people before 31 August 2012.  Go on - give it a go!

Must show you some visual stuff before I sign out so here goes:

A very talented lady call Brenda from: http://bumblebeesandbutterflieswithbrenda.blogspot.co.uk sent over some images of a fabulous domino book project she has made with our products.  I love this!:

Do have a look at her blog for more images and info!  Thanks Brenda.

And to finish I have two 'team' projects to share.  Firstly a cool 4-way slide mailer by Lucy:

Lucy has used images from our People & Places Book 2 in her mailer.

Then a rather lovely box and card using our new rubber stamp CI-351 by Daniele -

Lovely thanks ladies!

Bye for now,

NICE BIT OF BLOG CANDY FOR YOU!

Its quite a while since I offered some Crafty Individuals blog candy on the blog, so we put together a nice package for you yesterday - Malcolm photographed it and here it is:

A lovely assortment including 5 stamps (3 brand new release ones), some pearls and gems (and we all use those now don't we?!), a couple of background books, some tags, some Tando hearts and a Tando frame, and 3 Glossy sheets.  All very useful stuff!

If you are a blog follower please take time to display the above image on your blog with a link to this post and then leave a comment below before next Tuesday (as I'm away visiting a friend for a few days until then), and we will randomly pick a winner from the list.

Thank you to all who regularly leave comments and as a little reward, which we also do randomly, from time to time, we would like to send Nefertiti and Gio (both kindly commented on the last post) a couple of the new stamps each.  If you could email us at info@craftyindividuals.co.uk ladies, with your address, we will pop them in the post to you.

Now on with the crafting....

A lady called Debbie Moon sent us an email with some great seaside tags attached that she had made, and they are such fun that I thought you might all like to see them.  Debbie's work can be found at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=44977.  Debbie used our wooden trays/shadowboxes along with CI-278 plus, to create these beauties.

Me likey!

Zuzu has made a very cool pie shaped box using CI-305 and CI-336 -

Great fun Z!

Sue who is still having great troubles loading stuff on to her blog has sent over quite a few lovely images to us, and I adore this frame below, where she has used some of the backgrounds she created previously (check out my last post) to great effect:

You will get a better view of this if you click on the image (I hope) - tall images definitely work better on blogger than wide ones!  Sue has also used images from our Mini Image Books in this piece.

I promised to show you some of the demo pieces I had fun with at The Craft Barn Extravaganza recently (lots of others were given away at the time) - just bits and bobs transferred using lovely TAP onto fabric mostly, but I also had great results transferring onto mulberry tissue (and we all have some of that lurking around now don't we?!).  Give it a try its fun!

Isabelle Norris has also sent a few card images over that she has made and I particularly love this one using our cheeky seagull CI-344 -

And I still have several lovely Lynne projects in waiting to show you one of which is below, and is now gracing my kitchen wall (many thanks Lynne), and it looks even better in real life.

Actually I still have a Lynne project from Christmas last still gracing my mantelpiece - complete with lovely Rudolph, on display.  A bit out of season, but I do get very fond of my bits and pieces adorning my walls and surfaces and am loathe to remove them.  Anyway the project above was made with a recycled bargain Lynne picked up as the background, plus items from CI-348 as embellishments.

I have had this little beauty below waiting to publish for a little while, with thanks to Paula - mmm nice!

Quite a few CI items going on here.  There is an image from one of our glossy sheets, plus a mini tag from another Glossy Sheet.  And along with other CI stamps Paula has used CI-342 on the fabric background.

And I will finish off tonight by showing you a card I made by transferring the cute elephants from CI-351 onto mulberry tissue, using TAP, as mentioned above.  Thought this would make a very nice card for a baby or a small child in particular.

That's me done for tonight.  Hope you have enjoyed the little display?!  Don't forget to post the giveaway at the top on your blog, and leave a comment if you are a follower.  Thanks all.

SO MUCH TO SHOW YOU - WHERE DO I START?!

So much to show you - where do I start?!  Well I had better start somewhere tonight and then continue in another post.  So firstly as promised in my last post I'll start with The Craft Barn Extravaganza which was held in Lingfield in Surrey last weekend, and was a fabulous event as always.  If you haven't visited this event before you should start making arrangements now for next year as it is a craft event not to be missed!

We began on the Friday with a Crafty Individuals all day workshop.  Tando have brought out 3 gorgeous, gorgeous chipboard clock 'blanks', which we will have in stock on the website very, very soon - so do keep checking the Must-Have section where the Tando products are kept.  My faux Cuckoo Clock piece is here below in its entirety -

Loved decorating this, and here is a close up of the clock face -

All three clock blanks have a printers tray feel to them, which makes them very easy to decorate, as you can concentrate on one section at a time, and then overlay images/stamping to pull the whole thing together.  I used an assortment of CI products to embellish including Elements stamps: CI-231, CI-206, CI-248, CI-329, CI-350 and also one of our new clock faces (all three can be used with all three Tando clock blanks) - CI-352.

Everyone in my class came up with a completely different colour scheme and layout although we all started with the same basic items.  Here are a few pics of the clever folks hard at work -

Plus a few 'works in progress' -

When the clocks are in stock I can give you a bit of a blog tutorial on how I went about decorating my clock if you are interested? - please leave a comment if you would find this helpful!

The following two days of the Extravaganza were spent demoing CI products and the lovely TAP Paper, and I will bring you more pictures of the demo pieces soon.  I was just one of 28 different demonstrators including Helen Chilton, Leandra Franich, Linda Brown, Di from Tando, and many more who all had something different to offer.  Thanks to everyone who was involved!

.....

You also might have noticed that we have new products now on the CI Website.  New clock stamps as mentioned above -

As well as fitting the Tando clocks very nicely the clock faces can also be used in general card making and crafting.  They make a perfect focal point for a card based on time, or the hands can be set to a specific time to mark a special occasion.  However they are also perfect for decorating backgrounds too, and Sue has been experimenting with the clocks plus other CI stamps to make these lovely papers - imagine the possibilities!

 Lovely, lovely, lovely!

In addition to the clocks we have also added 3 new Elements plates - CI-349, CI-350, and CI-351 -

And I made a quick one layer card with one of the quirky birds from CI-349, plus ferns from CI-207 - an old favourite of mine!

The lace stamp is proving to be very versatile as it can be coloured up in lots of different ways -

This is just simply white ink on navy blue card.  I'm also having fun using Distress Markers to achieve multi coloured lace as well.

You may also have noticed we have added some brand new products to the site too, which are proving extremely popular, and I will give you an update on those in the near future.

Need sleep now - back soon!
Hope you can leave a comment!

JUNE CHALLENGE RESULTS..

Sorry to be so late with the latest Challenge results but we have just got back from a great few days in Surrey - teaching and demoing at The Craft Barn.  It was such fun to meet so many of you on Saturday and Sunday, and to see the lovely ideas everyone had for decorating their projects in the class on Friday.

However as this post is all about the Challenge really, I will chat more about the weekend we had in the next post.

Daniele was in charge of this Challenge, and has kindly chosen her 5 'winners' for us.  Once again the entries on the theme of 'A Summer's Ball' were beautiful - check them all out HERE, and I must thank everyone who linked in their entry, plus Gail who submitted her entry by email.  You can visit the blogs concerned just by clicking on the thumbnails!

Here are Daniele's five this time around:

Firstly we have a superb page layout by Asia King - who has used a strip of images from our Film Strip Glossy in her project:

And then another adorable project by May, with a beautifully stamped version of our dancing lady stamp CI-346:

Plus a very pretty item by Joan using several of our products including an image from image book People and Places 2 (love that lady!):

And a beautifully decorated 'dance invitation' card by Katie, again using CI-346 - very appropriate for this particular challenge:

Last, but not least, as the saying goes we have a great summery card layout by Crafty Lou, featuring CI-152 :

Once again I must say what lovely entries they all were, and do have a look at the appropriate blogs as there are some very imaginative stories behind a lot of the entries this time.  Thanks to all, and if your project features above please contact us at info@craftyindividuals.co.uk, with your address and choice of stamp, by way of our little thank you.

Hope the images help cheer us all up during this dismal summer we are having in the UK - at least there is little talk of droughts at the mo!

Back soon with an update on our latest exciting products just released on our CI WEBSITE, and more info as promised on the Extravaganza weekend.
